Globe Artichoke is a real delicacy, with a nutty, slightly bitter flavour. The meaty flesh of both the leaves and the heart of the artichoke are edible. Try boiling the artichoke whole, chargrilling it or even stuffing it.

Globe Artichoke makes a wonderfully delicious appetiser, simply pull the leaves off and dip them in hollandaise sauce.
