Goose Foie Gras Block is a delicious delicacy treat for such occasions like Christmas and New Year. It has a very rich and smooth texture and is best served on a warm baguette or slice of brioche. This Foie Gras is also perfect paired with a glass of fresh and light champagne.
To fully enjoy Goose Foie Gras, we recommend keeping things as simple as possible:
- Take your foie gras out of the refrigerator 20 minutes before serving.
- Serve at a temperature between +8°C and +12°C.
- Open the tin on both sides and unmould your block of foie gras by pushing on one of the lids. Remove the metal insert separating the slices.
- Heat up the blade of a toothless knife in hot water and cut ½ inch thick slices
- Serve slices on toasted bread or brioche
- You can add seasoning such as fleur de sel and ground black pepper
- Serve it as an appetizer toast or on a Périgord salad
